Oi gente!
Hello everyone!
Julho e Agosto foram meses bem agitados pra nós. Começamos com
um acampamento de família na Dinamarca (na base da Núbia e do Ulrik!), onde eu
ajudei na cozinha mas também tive um tempo muito bom com amigos.
July and August have been
very busy months for us. We started with the family camp in Denmark, where I
helped in the kitchen but also had a great time with friends.
Então voltamos pra Grimerud por apenas 5 dias e fizemos parte do
intenso treinamento de Mission Adventures, no qual eu era obreira, seguido da
viagem de Mission Adventures pra Lituânia. Viajamos o caminho todo de ônibus
atravessando a Suécia, o mar báltico (entramos com nosso ônibus numa balsa!) e
parte da Letônia pra finalmente chegarmos à Lituânia. Foi um tempo muito bom
liderando uma equipe de adolescentes muito boa e dando a eles a oportunidade de
terem a experiência de uma viagem missionária. Lá eles fizeram trabalhos
práticos, ajudando na construção e manutenção de um acampamento, e fizeram
algumas visitas a um orfanato. Foi muito bom ver todos aqueles adolescentes
empolgados com Missões e crescendo em seus relacionamentos com Deus. E foi
ótimo conhecer a linda cidade de Klaipeda.
Then we came back to
Grimerud for only 5 days and joined an intense Mission Adventures training
camp, which I was staffing, followed by the Mission Adventures trip to
Lithuania. We travelled by bus all the way crossing Sweden, the Baltic sea (we
got into a ferry with our bus!) and a part of Latvia to get finally get there.
We had a good time leading a great team of teenagers to have a missionary trip
experience where they served practically in a camp and had some visits to an
orphanage. It was great to see all these young people getting excited about
missions and growing in their relationship with God. And it was great to get to
know the beautiful city of Klaipeda.
Depois disso voltamos pra Grimerud de novo, pra uma semana de
descanso e também pra preparação de um grande final de semana em que Ana foi
daminha. Ficamos muito honradas em ser parte do casamento da nossa amiga Elise,
que aconteceu aqui no gramado em frente ao nosso quarto! Aninha estava super
empolgada e fez um excelente trabalho como daminha!
After that we came back to
Grimerud again for a week of rest and also to prepare for the big weekend when
was a flower girl. We were very honored to be part of the wedding ceremony of
our friend Elise here on the lawn in front of our room! Ana was very excited
and she did a great job as a flower girl!
Alguns dias depois do casamento nós
fomos pra um grande festival para todos os Jocumeiros da Noruega! Nós éramos
cerca de 800 pessoas! Foi bastante encorajador ser parte de algo tão grande e
ver como Deus tem agido e falado conosco como Jocum Noruega.
Some days after the wedding
we went to a big festival for all Ywamers in Norway! We were around 800 people!
It was encouraging to be part of something so big and to see how God has been
moving and speaking to us as Ywam Norway lately.
Depois desse festival as férias de verão estavam oficialmente
terminadas e todos nós voltamos às nossa rotinas na base, o que significa que o
jantar deve ser servido diariamente às 16:30! Essas últimas três semanas foram
bem agitadas e desafiadoras: temos menos pessoas na nossa equipe agora e tenho
tentando organizar uma escala que funciona bem pra todos nós. Eu também sou
responsável por organizar o menu e as escalas pra lavagem das louças e
preparação do jantar nos finais de semana, e isso significa tentar ser justa e
levar em consideração a situação de cada pessoa e de cada família, o que pode
ser um pouco estressante, às vezes. Mas as coisas estão chegando no lugar e eu
estou aprendendo bastante.
After this festival, summer
holidays were officially over and we all got back to our routines in the base,
which means the base kitchen needed to be up and running! These last 3 weeks
have been very busy and challenging: we have fewer people in our team now and
I've been trying to come up with a schedule that would work well for all of us.
Also, I'm responsible for organizing the menu and different lists for people
that do dishes everyday and cook on the weekends, and that means trying to be
fair and taking into consideration each person's or each family's situation.
And that can feel a bit overwhelming for me sometimes. But things are getting
into place now and I'm learning a lot.
Estamos agora empolgados com grandes coisas por vir: próxima
semana meu pai e sua esposa estão vindo nos visitar e no final de semana em que
estiverem aqui teremos a celebração dos 40 anos de Grimerud! Será um evento
grandioso e estamos esperando cerca de 400 pessoas! Estamos fazendo muitos
preparativos durante esses últimos dias, incluindo um grande mutirão de limpeza
que aconteceu hoje! Logo depois desse evento, 3 escolas irão
começar na nossa base: 2 ETEDs e uma Escola de Pioneirismo e Liderança.
We are now looking foward to
some great things to come: next week my Dad and his wife are coming to visit us
and on that weekend we will have the celebration of 40 years of Grimerud! That
is going to be a huge event and we are expecting around 400 people! We've been
doing a lot of preparation for that these last days, including a big working
bee that took place today! And soon after that event, 3 schools will start in
our base: 2 DTSes and a Pionnering and Leadership School.
No meio de tudo isso temos encontrado um tempinho pra colher
umas groselhas e aproveitar os últimos dias do verão. Deus é bom o tempo todo e
Ele tem grandes planos! É tão bom ser parte das coisas que Ele está fazendo!
In the midst of that we have
been finding time to pick some berries and enjoy the last days of summer. God
is good all the time and He has great plans! It's great to be part of what He
is doing!
