And that was our month of February! During carnival I joined this Ywam Outreach to a city 1 hour and a half away from Belo Horizonte. It's a historical city called Ouro Preto and it's very famous for its traditional carnival. It is said to have hosted the 1st carnival in Brazil. It was a very special time for me. I had joined this outreach 3 times before 10 years ago!!! It was very good to be able to participate again! Besides going out every night helping people on the streets and trying to engage in conversations so as to share about God's love with them, we also have our own parade, with a samba that talks about God's love. It is very well prepared: We have a different song each year and our group is registered in the city's carnival organization. It was the 21st year of this outreach there! We have nice drums and a coreography to the song, but the best part is when we all stop in the middle of the streets, kneel down and pray for the people and for the city. People are usually very touched by this!
The other great event of the month was Ana's birthday! She turned 4 and we had a nice party last Saturday! I'm so thankful to God and all my family and friends who helped and/or came to the party! We felt very loved!
We're now preparing to go back to Norway next week! It feels bittersweet. I feel like going home and I'm really looking foward to going back to work and seeing my friends over there. But it also hurts to leave my family back here in Brazil.

E esse foi nosso mês de Fevereiro! Durante o carnaval eu participei do impacto da Jocum em Ouro Preto. Foi um tempo muito especial pra mim! Eu já tinha participado 3 vezes há 10 anos atrás e foi bom poder participar de novo! Além de saírmos todas as noites para ajudarmos pessoas e tentar conversar com elas e compartilhar do amor de Deus, nós também temos nosso próprio bloco, com um samba que fala do amor de Deus. É tudo muito bem preparado: temos um samba diferente a cada ano e nosso bloco é registrado no carnaval da cidade. Foi o 21o ano desse impacto em Ouro Preto! Nós temos uma boa bateria e uma coreografia para o samba, mas a melhor parte é quando nós paramos no meio das ruas, nos ajoelhamos e oramos pelas pessoas e pela cidade. As pessoas geralmente ficam bastante tocadas com isso!
O outro grande evento do mês foi o aniversário da Aninha! Ela fez 4 anos e tivemos uma festa bem legal! Sou muito agradecida a Deus e a toda a minha família e amigos que ajudaram e/ou foram à festa! Nos sentimos muito amadas!
Estamos agora nos preparando para nossa volta pra Noruega na semana que vem! É um sentimento misturado. Sinto como se estivesse voltando pra casa e estou ansiosa pra voltar ao trabalho e ver meus amigos lá. Mas meu coração dói de deixar minha família aqui no Brasil.
