Hoje, enquanto estava na Mercy House , alguns dos meus amigos cristãos refugiados da Eritréia e do Egito me ensinaram a escrever "Jesus te ama" em árabe! Fizemos um cartaz e pregamos na parede do lugar onde as pessoas tomam café e comem com a gente!
Enquanto eles me ensinavam como escrever essa frase árabe, um deles me explicou que o Alcorão não diz nada sobre amor. Espero que ler sobre o amor de Jesus num cartaz pregado na parede toque os corações de muitos muçulmanos que frequentam a Mercy House, enquanto eles tomam um bom café (ou chá!) com a gente, e comem um bom sanduíche sem presunto, claro! Eles não podem comer carne de porco, então temos sanduíches sem presunto especialmente pra eles! :)

Today in the Mercy House some of my friends who are Christian refugees from Eritrea and Egypt taught me how to write "Jesus loves you" in Arabic! We made a poster a stuck it on the wall where people have something to drink and eat with us!
While they taught how to write this sentence, on of them explained to me that in the Coran there is no mention of love. I hope that reading about Jesus in a poster on the wall will touch the hearts of many Muslims who come to the Mercy House, while they drink a good cup of coffee or tea with us and have a nice sandwich without ham, of course! They can't eat pork, so we prepare special sandwiches without ham for them! :)
